Tools to help write a better life story

We all want to write a life story that we are happy with and find meaning in. We want our life story to be something we can look back on and be proud of. That it was truly our story and not something we just went along with.

Ok sure. As far as I know, no one ever disagrees with the above. And at various points of time, maybe after reading an interview or watching a video or on New Year's Eve, we all found a short burst of motivation to pursue our own unique lives. But many of us just didn't follow through.

We lost our way. We gave up. We got stuck. We got confused.

Writing a unique life story is hard, one of the most difficult questions any of us have to answer:

  1. What exactly is it that we want to pursue? What should feature in our life story? What is it that would matter to us?

  2. What do we have to overcome to start writing our story?

  3. What do we have to learn to write a good story?

  4. How do we keep going even when we feel like giving up?

Press on when it gets tough

“Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."

Keep learning

“In my whole life, I have known no wise people who didn’t read all the time – none, zero. Those who keep learning, will keep rising in life.”
